About the role
We are looking for an SAP Commerce Backend Consultant (Developer) to join our team. This role is available as Full-time, Contract, or Freelance engagement.
The ideal candidate will develop and maintain backend components within the SAP Commerce Cloud framework, focusing on B2C or B2B accelerators. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand functional requirements and implement scalable backend solutions.
This is a remote position open to candidates globally.
What you'll do
Day-to-day responsibilities in this role
01Develop and maintain backend components within the SAP Commerce Cloud framework, focusing on B2C or B2B accelerators
02Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand functional requirements and implement scalable backend solutions

Develop and integrate APIs using OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) and REST/SOAP web services
04Implement features using Java, Spring, and J2EE technologies within the Hybris architecture
05Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization
06Support CI/CD processes using tools like Maven, Ant, and Jenkins
07Work with version control systems such as Git
08Assist with environment setups and basic deployment tasks using Tomcat and Apache
09Collaborate in agile sprints and contribute to team delivery in a global delivery model
What we're looking for

Required (9)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3 to 6 years of software development experience
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development
Proficiency in Java, Spring framework, and J2EE technologies
Experience with SAP Commerce modules like Backoffice, WCMS, Product Cockpit, and Promotions
Hands-on experience consuming and building REST/SOAP APIs
Working knowledge of Git, Maven/Ant, and Jenkins
Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Experience working in agile teams and offshore-onsite delivery models

Experience with SAP Commerce 6.x
CCv2 experience
Headless Commerce experience
B2B/B2C accelerators experience
Tomcat / Apache deployments
Relevant SAP certifications
Familiarity with integration patterns such as JMS, ESB, or SOA
